Mederma: The Effective—and Pain-Free!—Treatment for Acne Scars.

Idle hands are the devil’s playground—or so the “old” saying goes in a Devon Sawa film (yup, we admit it, we are really ‘90s kids). You have got to admit though, that there are some times when those “active” hands of yours can cause some near-irrepairable damage. Case in point: acne scars. Just because your zit can get all red and angry on your face does not mean that you have to exact revenge on it by popping it out. When you do that, that pimple has exacted its ultimate payback: by leaving your once-pristine face with an acne scar. Prepare yourself for your worst crisis ever.
Of course, we are just kidding you. But for some people, this is no laughing matter. Acne scars can really leave some unsightly blemishes that can’t be just concealed by copious amounts of make-up. Acne scars can be just about anything in size and diameter, but the fact remains that the scars are there. On your face. To make you suffer. So yeah, expect self-esteem to plummet faster than a crashing satellite.
There are several creams that have been claiming to make the acne scars “disappear”. However, only one brand has been clinically proven to live up to its hype: Mederma.
What is a “Mederma”? Sounds like something out of Greek mythology. But names with puns aside, Mederma is really effective, since it really was meant to treat scars of all kinds in the manufacturers’ minds. Name a scar, and most likely, Mederma can be indicated for it: burns, “love” marks, surgical wounds, and now, acne scars.
What is its secret, then? Believe it or not, the secret ingredient behind it is just a humble onion extract. Allium cepa, the scientific name of that specific onion derivative, has been proven in clinical tests to reduce the swelling and redness, which are signs of an inflammation occurring, on the scar. It also encourages the formation of collagen, a major component in all connective tissues in the body—the skin included.
Of course, you cannot make the acne scars disappear immediately. That is just madness… and yeah, darn near impossible. However, if you are looking for an effective treatment that does not involve numbing your face with anesthesia or involves having you bleed in your face (which is only minimal, mind you), then Mederma is the right solution for you.
The best use for Medema should involve mild acne scarring. A liberal amount is needed to be applied on your affected area. Also make sure that you have to be constant and unfailing on your daily treatment. You have to apply Mederma for thrice in one day. The duration of the application of Mederma should last for several months. However, if you are treating Mederma with a rather “old” scar (one which has been acquired several months ago), the treatment could last as much as six months or even longer. Just be patient and develop a systematic and personalized plan where you can properly gauge the scar by how much it has decreased in size and circumference.

If you are planning to use Mederma, please consult your dermatologist before deciding to buy one from your local skin care retailer.
